Renowned as “The Glassiest Place in Town”, DeGuelle Glass Co. marks a milestone since being in business since 1962, providing glass and mirrored products to our coastal and surrounding cities. A fixture in Huntington Beach’s business landscape, DeGuelle Glass has built and maintained a reputation of quality, service and integrity over the years.

Originally opened by Jim DeGuelle and his sons, the company has provided a burgeoning building industry with heavy shower enclosures, windows, wardrobe doors, table tops, specialty glass, replacement of dual glazed units and more. Over the years, the scope of services and products evolved to include interior and exterior handrail systems, slumped art glass, and many patterns of glass for cabinet doors.

In 1988, Barbara Haynes joined the family run company, where she figured cost estimates and worked closely with customers and suppliers for the subsequent nine years to hone her skills in all aspects of the operation. When the DeGuelle family was ready to turn over the reins, it made perfect sense to sell the business to Barbara and her husband Mike. Barbara is Past President of The Orange County Glass Association, as well as Past Chair of The California Glass Association and Past Chair of America’s Glass Association.

Since that time, Barbara & Mike have honored the original owner’s culture and philosophy, and even kept the DeGuelle name.“When we bought the company, Jim DeGuelle said that it’s still a family run business, just a different family,” says Mike. Perhaps one of the reasons why Barbara, Mike and their “family” of long time employees service their customers so well is their involvement and commitment to the community.

Mike’s local affiliations include membership in the Huntington Beach Kiwanis Club, The Masonic Lodge and The Chamber of Commerce.“Huntington Beach is not just a city, it’s a community,” says Barbara. “We love living here and particularly enjoy the camaraderie of working with our customers who are our neighbors and friends.”
